Practical answers, plus what users report on review sites
Crazy Egg shows us how visitors behave on our website, using heatmaps, session recordings, surveys and A/B tests. We could use it to spot where people stop scrolling, what they click and where they leave, then decide what to change on a page.
Reviewers describe it as simple to learn and reasonably priced for small businesses, and the vendor lists unlimited team members on paid plans. Review summaries we found also say it has fewer features than some rivals and can be less effective on high-traffic sites.
The vendor listed Starter at about $29 per month, Plus at about $99, Pro at about $249 and Enterprise at about $599 on annual billing, plus a free plan, but confirm on the vendor pricing page. Plans are limited by tracked pageviews and recordings, and we could not confirm how add-on capacity is priced.
We could view heatmaps, watch session recordings, run surveys, track conversions and funnels, and use AI analysis of heatmaps and recordings. A/B testing, CTAs and error tracking are listed from the Plus plan upward, not on Starter.
It only helps. It collects and summarises visitor behaviour, but we would still need a person to interpret the findings, decide on changes and build them.
The vendor lists WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Magento, Drupal, Joomla, Google Tag Manager and Segment, or the tracking code can be added by hand. We could not confirm deeper CRM or email integrations.
We would check that monthly pageview and recording limits fit our traffic, since data collection pauses when a limit is hit. G2 rated it around 4.2 and Capterra around 4.3, but Trustpilot was much lower at around 2.1 on few reviews, and some reviewers mention unclear billing and trial terms, so we would read the terms carefully.
